In Pickens County, beginning at GA 515 travel to SR 53/ W. Church Street.  Turn onto W. Church Street and travel 1.9 miles to Burnt Mountain Road at Jasper City Hall.

Starting at Etowah River Rd and SR 53 – travel east on Etowah River Rd to SR 136, 3.9 miles

Turn west (left) onto SR 136. Travel 10.6 miles to Bailey Waters Road

Turn north (right) onto Bailey Waters Road and travel 3.5 miles to SR 52 (Amicalola Falls Hwy)

Turn west (left) onto SR 52. Travel 5.3 miles (passing the entrance to Amicalola Falls State Park) to the junction of SR 183.

Turn south (left) onto SR 183 and travel 1.15 miles to junction of SR Hwy 136.

Turn west (right) onto SR 136 and travel 6.3 miles to the Pickens County line

Continue on SR 136 (Burnt Mountain Road) at Pickens County line traveling 7.5 miles to Burnt Mountain Road/SR136 (Jones Mountain Road) split.

Continue south (left) onto Burnt Mountain Road and travel 3.3 miles to downtown Jasper at City Hall near intersection of Burnt Mountain and Cove Road.

Talking Rock Spur

And/Or, turn right (west) onto SR 136 (Jones Mountain Road) and travel 1.2 miles to SR 136 & Jones Mountain Road split.  Then turn left (continuing west) onto SR 136 and travel 1.9 miles to Whitestone Road (SR 136).  Turn left (continuing west) onto Whitestone Road and travel 0.7 miles to Talking Rock, GA.   Total miles traveled to Talking Rock is 3.8 miles

And/Or, (upon return from Pickens County on SR 136) Turn south (right) on SR Hwy 183 (Elliot Family Parkway), and travel 7.75 miles to Howser Mill Road.

Turn east (left) on Howser Mill Rd, and travel 3.1 miles to SR 53 in downtown Dawsonville.

Thunder Road USA Spur

Take SR 53 thru downtown (around the historic Courthouse) and out of town (east) traveling 0.8 miles to Thunder Road USA.

Exit

From Thunder Road USA turn east on SR 53 and travel 6.0 miles back to GA 400.

Entire route is approximately 59 miles.
